A selection of e-mails received in last few months in addition to the ghost sighting from David Williams (above). More about all these later. 

Joanne Gidney (July) from Novia Scotia is tracing her roots and has discoved the family name was originally Gedney.

Norman Lucey (Sept) from Rickmansworth, Herts, had ancestors at Hundred Foot Bank & also farmers in Wisbech Rd during the 19thC. Surnames Nunn, Hibling, Cornwell & Payne.

Victoria Moss (Sept) from Frome, Somerset, would like info on the Wallis family. Has traced them to Welney in 1700's-1870's. A Mary Ann Wallis (nee Gay) was a school mistress. Other names Laws, Jakes/Jaques/Jacks.

Jan Kersten (Sept) from Eindhoven in Holland wrote to the Parish Clerk to say the site was "very nice & informative". (His is not bad either, many links, try it)

Arijit Barman (Sept) webmaster of an Indian  cricket website thinks the Welney site "contains some fascinating resources on the game". (Thank you)

Charles Frowd (Nov) had an uncle Leonard Loraine lived in a bunglalow, then a caravan on the bank near the Three Tuns. Has old photos from c1925 onwards.  example.
