Welney Croft Cricket Club
The Cricket Club has held its AGM at the Lamb &
Flag on Sunday January 13th.
The following officers were elected:

Jack Burkenshaw (Leicestershire County Cricket
Club Manager) will be visiting the village on three occasions this year.
He will be bringing Devon Malcolm (England Test
Cricketer) along one evening in the spring time to the Lamb & Flag for an
"Evening with Devon", when as a part of the visit there will be a question and
answer session.
On Sunday May 19th he will be skippering a
Leicestershire C.C XI against our own club side and will be the Guest Speaker /
Presenter at the end of season dinner.
Again the Blows Brothers Trophy will be competed
for, our president Ray Kent has kindly offered to sponsor it again with Pymore
the present holders being invited for the match. It is also proposed to run a
single wicket competition in August.
