Welney Youth Club

and After School Club

 

The thriving Youth Club for 12 to 17 year olds was started in June 2005 with 5 Young People and 1 enthusiastic Leader and now has over 20 young people attending. The club meets on Thursday evenings in the Pavilion at the Playing Field. A wide range of activities is offered at a cost of just 50p per evening.

The club has just successfully received over £3,000 from Leader+ for equipment and training.

 

For younger children aged 5 to 11 a new After Schools Club was started in July 2006. Meetings are every Tuesday at 4 pm, at the back of the school, with indoor and outdoor games. The first meeting had 17 children attending. Children must be accompanied by a parent (who will receive free refreshment). The charge is 50p which includes a picnic tea. Children under 5 are also welcome but must stay with a parent at all times.
