The Wisbech & District Kart Racing Club has held its races at Manea Runs (off the B1098) just inside the parish of Welney since August 2005.

The club, which has about 100 members ranging from eight to eighty, is one of the oldest in the country and has held regular meetings for over 50 years. It leases its current site from the Bishops Land Charity, and by doing so has enabled the Charity to maintain the annual December payment to pensioners in the Parish.

All meetings are covered by Ambu-Kare (UK). Admittance and parking is free, and a burger bar and refreshments are available on site.

The club secured grants from Fenland Enterprise and the Community Grant Scheme Regeneration Facility to enable it to lease and maintain the site and acquire a better trackside caravan for the race officials.

The last meeting of the 2006 season is on 29th October.

For further information see the club's own website.
